Envisioning long-term patterns of behavior provides critical knowledge of underlying causes and leverage points, which is crucial to the understanding not just of what is happening but why. From a futures thinking perspective, we apply systems dynamics modeling to examine socio-ecological systems and determine the achievability of future events and trends.
